Students » E-Safety
E-safety is a big part of our safeguarding agenda at Hayes and also forms part of our ICT provision in lessons at KS3, across our ACTIVE programmes and tutor time.
Below are some links useful links provided by the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre to help students, parents & carers understand the threats that children may be exposed to on-line as well as ways of dealing with them.
We would encourage parents/carers to support their child by spending some time looking through the various links and discussing internet safety with your children.
Our Safeguarding and E-Safety assemblies for all students are planned for w/c 9 September 2019 in addition and in line with our E-safety Policy (link below) Year 7 and 12 students will receive E-safety Training delivered by an external provider on 16th October 2019. There will additionally be an opportunity for parents/carers to attend E-safety Awareness Training on the same evening (16th October 2019) which will be delivered twice at 4.00 – 5.00pm and again at 5.30 – 6.30pm. No pre-booking is required and parents/carers may simply arrive at the Main School Hall at the most suitable time. Further information on this training will be shared via our school newsletter.
