Head Prefects' Welcome
Welcome from our Head Prefects

We are Daniel Baker and Kiyanna Lawrence and are delighted to be your Head Prefects for this academic year.
My name is Dan, and I’ve been a student at Hayes School since Year 7. Throughout the entirety of this time, a constant has been the high standard of education I have enjoyed. I have received outstanding teaching, benefited from a range of opportunities both inside and outside the classroom and made lifelong friends.
As Head Prefect, my goal is to be an advocate and a voice for every student, so that they may be as happy as I have been with the quality of education. I hope to foster people’s passions by encouraging them to make the most of the wide array of extra-curricular opportunities, allowing them to enjoy themselves in a supportive environment.
Happiness, joy and hope are vital to a thriving school environment, and I aim to nurture these qualities at Hayes School. I hope to achieve this through working with our amazing student leadership teams. I would like to act as their spokesperson and to continue developing Hayes as a school community in which every voice is heard. I’m excited for the year ahead and look forward to contributing to positive change within our school.
Hello, I’m Kiyanna Lawrence, and I’m so proud to be Head Prefect at Hayes School. I study Business, Economics and Psychology. I aspire to pursue a degree apprenticeship in financial services after Sixth Form.
Joining Hayes as an external student, I was immediately welcomed by the incredible staff and students. Their support motivated me to give back to the community. The teachers who encouraged me, even when I doubted myself, have truly inspired me to make a positive difference within the school.
I have a strong passion for public speaking and feel honoured to represent Hayes School by speaking on its behalf and engaging with students across all year groups. I especially enjoy advocating for the school’s incredible opportunities, including over 100 clubs and an excellent student mentoring programme. This initiative ensures that students feel comfortable discussing any problems they may face - academic or personal - so these challenges don’t interfere with their learning. I love engaging with others and hearing their ideas, as I believe that listening to students’ voices is key to creating meaningful change.
As Head Prefect, my goal is to continue building an inclusive, supportive and aspirational environment where every student feels heard and motivated to reach their potential. I’m excited to work alongside the teachers, prefect team and wider student body to help Hayes School continue its legacy of excellence and make it the very best it can be.
